Leadership Portage County
"I have been practicing psychiatry in Portage County for the last 25 years. During this time, I have interacted with many agencies in the county, but never had the opportunity to appreciate what they do. LPC provides an excellent opportunity to get to know representatives of most of the agencies. Being familiar with the available resources put me in a better position to help my patients. The Community Project allows us to give something back to the county in which  we serve, and that has served us both personally and professionally."

Youth LPC

Youth Leadership Portage County is a leadership program for junior high school students from each high school in Portage County.  The program is designed to introduce leadership skill development, introduce participants to resources in Portage County and helps students develop a plan for their future.  A brief portion of each program day is scheduled for educating students with hands on information regarding post high school educational selection; the application process and guides them to resources.  We encourage YLPC students to then share this helpful information with students at their home schools in Portage County on their morning announcements.
